Congrats Dan Berger and Dan Berger Jr. for leasing Eastern Palace!

Eastern Palace, which features Burmese and Thai dishes as well as sushi, has opened on Columbia Avenue, just west of Millersville Road.

The new, 72-seat restaurant at 2206 Columbia Ave. takes a spot that is the former home of a Wendy’s restaurant.

The menu at Eastern Palace includes Burmese chicken curry and beef curry as well as Mont Hin Gar, a Burmese fish noodle soup. Thai dishes include fried rice and rice noodle dishes as well as other stir fry dishes.

U.S. Commercial Realty’s Scott Bradbury assists COBYS in acquiring new space for their continued growth!

Needing room for current and future staff, COBYS Family Services has acquired the former Simon Lever headquarters for $1.1 million, courthouse records show.

COBYS will begin moving about 35 of its employees to the 444 Murry Hill Circle building, off Oregon Pike, on Feb. 22 and 23, said executive director Mark Cunningham.

“I’m thrilled that we found this location. I hate to use the word ‘perfect,’ because nothing is perfect, but it’s close. We are a blessed organization,” he said Thursday.

In the past year, vacancy rates fell in the Philly suburban office market, according to data from Cushman & Wakefield dropping to 11.1% in the third quarter of 2017 from 12.5% a year earlier. No surprise that

JLL Philadelphia Research reports office rents hit cyclical highs in the third quarter, the most recent period with available data. The industrial vacancy rate fell to 3.4% from 4.9% in the same period as net absorption rose and construction fell.

1st tenant in Shoppes at Belmont opens January 10th!

Chick-fil-A is opening its second Lancaster County restaurant Wednesday, Jan. 10, when it will become the first tenant to begin operating in the new Shoppes at Belmont.

The Chick-fil-A at 1579 Fruitville Pike will have indoor seating for 130 and feature a drive-thru with two lanes for ordering. There also will be a two-story children’s play area. The restaurant will operate with around 120 employees.

Chick-fil-A features a variety of chicken sandwiches as well as fries, soups and salads.

A California-based meal-kit company has picked East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, as the place to ramp up its East Coast operations.

Gobble Inc. is planning to begin food prep and order fulfillment operations in January at a facility at 2900 Old Tree Drive, near the Centerville Road exit off Route 30.

“We are excited to invest in the local Lancaster economy,” Gobble founder and CEO Ooshma Garg said in a press release.
